We write with heavy hearts to let readers know that Tom Silk, the founder of Adler & Colvin, passed away peacefully yesterday, with his family by his side.  Tom devoted his life to the nonprofit sector, personally and professionally, as a teacher and mentor, and as a lawyer and entrepreneur.  He founded this firm in 1981, a true pioneer of the field of nonprofit and tax-exempt organization law as a full-time professional calling.  We are forever grateful to him.
